Hall Of Famers
Sammy Baugh - 2005
2005 marked the first year of the National Madden League Hall of Fame. Sammy Baugh was the obvious choice to be the first inductee. It is his name that graces the NML trophy. He will now stand forever enshrined in the NML Hall of Fame.
Main Hall
John Madden - 2005
Without John Madden this league wouldn't even exist. His name graced the first games that brought this league to a reality. It is for his yearly dedication to his EA Sports game that we induct John Madden into the NML Hall of Fame.
Cole Rosen - 2008
Cole Rosen was an instrumental key to the formation and success of the NML. He helped co-author the rule book and brought on key owners for the 2004 expansion. His Buffalo Bills won Power Bowl I and made it to Power Bowl II. It is for his leadership and dedication to the NML for which he is enshrined in the NML Hall of Fame.
Priest Holmes - 2009
Michael Strahan - 2009
Jonathan Ogden - 2009
Priest Holmes was perhaps the best running back to have ever played in the NML. Priest spent most of his career with the Chiefs. He held the rushing title for 3 years from 2003 – 2005. He retired as the NML’s all-time leading rusher with 4105 yards. He averaged 4.2 yards per carry and posted 41 touchdowns in his career.
Michael helped lead the Chiefs to two world championships with his quick, off-the-line maneuvers. He is arguably the best defensive lineman to have played in the NML and retired as the all-time sack leader with 47.
Playing on a team that moves to a new city as frequently as the Chargers did would be hard enough, but Ogden did it and excelled. He retired as the all-time leader in pancakes with 306 and only 11 sacks allowed.
