Hi, I'm Clyde Pikum. But I be sure you know that from the headline. I likes ta ride my motorcycle over the country to football games. I bring you the best in the matchups from week to week. I gotsta be the #1 fan in all this here US of A. This week has some great footballin' to watch:
Tough division match-up for the Falcons here as they take on arguably the best team in the NML. If they have any hopes of winning Chris Johnson is going to have to be a big playmaker. They key for Carolina is QB and Rookie of the Year favorite, Cam Newton. He’s been slicing up defenses on with his arm and legs.
CAR - WR Jordan Shipley (abdominal tear) 7 wks
ATL - DE Trevor Scott (abdominal tear) 3 wks
Cam has yet another highly impressive day and the Panthers roll 45-10. Can anyone beat these Black Cats?
In most weeks this would make for a fantastic divisional match-up. Unfortunately for Redskins fans, they have been decimated by injury. The loss of Kyle Orton makes for an almost impossible win for them. Belichick has his Eagles playing some good football after apparently changing up his entire game plan a few weeks ago. No doubt had some help game planning and it’s worked after ripping off 2 straight wins.
PHL - FS Ryan Clark (abdominal tear) 8 wks
WAS - QB Kyle Orton (mild PCL sprain) 5 wks
WR Josh Cribbs (abdominal tear) 4 wks
Even with the Skins decimated by injury I have a feeling that they have some tricks up their sleeves. I am going with the upset as the Skins defeat the Eagles 24-17.
There are more Davis brothers in the NML than Wangs at a Chinese w#*$@house. In yet another battle of Davis Brothers we pit the surprisingly winless Bills against the inconsistent G-Men. Can Drew Brees throw the ball to his own team this week? If so, it’s their only chance. Newest Giant Frank Gore looks to lead his team to a big win while establishing his presence as a force to be reckoned with on the ground.
BUF - none
NYG - WR Donnie Avery (herniated disk) 5 wks
Frank Gore proves to be too much to handle and Brees is picked 3 times en route to a 28-7 New Yor Giants' victory.
IND - FS Robert Sands (bruised shoulder) 1 wk
CB Chris Johnson (abdominal tear) 6 wks
CIN - none
I am going back and forth on this one. If it stays close, I give it to the Bengals… If the Colts win, I believe they win big. I flipped a coin and it says Colts 54, Bengals 21.
PIT - WR DeSean Jackson (herniated disk) 3 wks
JAX - WR James Jones (abdominal tear) 5 wks
The Jags slow the Steelers rushing game and keep it close but ultimately fall in this one 24-21 in a game that will be filled with rushing stats.
The 49ers have been hit by injuries on the defense that will hurt them and it seems that they have been unable to get any offense going lately. They need Jay Cutler throwing the ball to guys in the red jerseys and not getting hurt. The Lions started the opposite of the 49ers at 0-2 but have ripped off 3 impressive wins. They brought back Adrian Peterson and he had 316 yards and 7 TD’s in his return to the Lions lineup.
SF - MLB James Farrior (torn tricep) season
DE Chris Long (broken jaw) 3 wks
DET - none
I predict that the Lions will continue on their winning ways and exploit some of the holes and question marks the 49ers have been dealing with since the Curse of Peyton Manning began.
