the game. From that point on the Saints began to roll scoring 28 unanswered points in the last 2:35 to close out the half and put the game out of reach 42-13. The last 2:35 saw a Breaston TD, 3 rushing TDs by McCoy, 2 ints and a fumble recovery. The crowd became a huge factor as the momentum began to build.

LeSean McCoy continued what looks like his to lose rushing title and MVP trophy. Rushing for 292 yards and 5 TDs on 23 carries. He controlled the tempo early and was an unstoppable force. McCoy has easily put together 3 of the best games the NML has ever seen from a running back. He has already rushed for 848 yards on 60 carries and has 14 rushing TDs. He leads the league in 20+ yard rushes with 15 in 3 games and has proved he can score from anywhere.

Vince Young once again continues his great play throwing for two TDs and a 132 passer rating. GM/Owner Andrew Carter said "This is an area we felt we needed some mobility and ability to make plays. We were horrible at the most important position last year, Vince was available we made the move." Steve Breaston and DJ Williams caught their first Saint TDs as 7 different players caught passes.

The defense was outstanding in the second after getting run all over in the first by Willis McGahee. Chris Crocker continued his unbelievable run with two more picks, which now brings him up to 6 on the season. He has had 2 in each game. Tomlin said "when your safety is making plays the way he is, your offense gets great field position." Ike Taylor and Larry Foote also picked off passes. The Saints created 5 more turnovers to make their turnover ratio 12-1 for the season.

Saints now have an 8 game NML winning streak dating back to last season.

In other news in what was not a shocker to most, LeSean McCoy was named the offensive player of the week for week 1. This is the first such honor for new Saints owner Andrew Carter.

Week 3
Out to prove the critics wrong, the Saints welcomed the mighty Texans and their Ray Lewis led defense on what turned out to be a game decided in the closing minutes of the second quarter. Coach Tomlin stated, "No one expects us to do what we do on the ground, each week we hear this is the week we get stopped. McCoy was not suppose to rush for 100 he ran for 292."

Houston scored to bring the game to 14-13 and was trying for the extra point when Drew Coleman came around the corner for the block. The block changed the momentum of
Week 2
Saints continued their domination on the ground as LeSean McCoy continued his early season run towards the MVP. McCoy rushed 19 times for 252 yards and 5 tds. Catching 3 balls for 22 yards. Another solid effort from Vince Young 133 passer rating, 1 td and 0 int.

McCoy started the scoring taking a 7-0 lead after a 60 yard td run. After a James Stark draw play for 50 yards the Bears had tied the game at 7. On the next drive McCoy regains the lead with a 68 yard score. McCoy rushed 7 times for 180 in quarter 1.

The second quarter was more of the same as McCoy scores from 16 and 15 yards out. Andre Roberts added a 52 yard bomb proving why coach wanted him as a deep threat. With the game decided at half time the saints brought in backup Maurice Morris to carry the load with McCoy spotting him when he got tired.

The D showed up to play as Chris Crocker continued his hot streak with 2 ints, now 4 on season. Albert Haynesworth added his first sack of the season. The defense has yet to give up a pass wr td. The teams turnover ratio is a positive 7 through two games, 6 ints and 1 fumble recovery.

Coach Tomlin now improves the team to 7-3 under his watch with a NML leading 7 game win streak. Coach said "it was nice to have the big lead at the half, play ball control football, run the clock out." Coach added "McCoy is unreal, his first quarter was one of the best I have seen, there was no reason to risk injury, plus it was nice to get Maurice Morris some work."

Saints improved to 2-0 and remain tied with the Panthers atop what looks to be the toughest division in the NML.
