Tony Dungy "Finally" Fired
Tony Dungy has decided to step down as the Chargers head coach effective immediatly. He has cited family circumstances as the reason for his sudden departure. The Offensive coordinator Michael Irvin will replace him.

Irvin received a 3 year deal worth 6 million, total. Coach Dungy leaves the Chargers in good position having just beat the UFC West favorite Chiefs by 21 points.

"I looked at coach Dungy as a father to me," Irvin stated. "He will be missed and I hope I can do half the job he did. I am greatful for this oppurtunity and I am looking forward to leading us to the promise land."

San Diego takes on Miami next week and should be heavily favored.
