Mama's Daughters' Diner: Best Home Cooking in Dallas
1/24/11 Dallas, TX - I'd never been to Dallas before but wondered what the food there was all about. Upon reading reviews and looking over menus one type of food came to mind. Sure Tex-Mex would be the obvious choice, but down-home cooking is what caught my attention and most notably Mama's Daughters' Diner.
Said one customer, "Mama's Daughters has quite a few locations around the D or FW metroplex, but I personally like the Royal and Harry Hines location the best. It has a nice old diner feel to it, the service is great, the food is good southern "down home cooking," and the prices are
very reasonable. If you're looking for some good country cooking like chicken fried steak, rot roast, okra, etc. then Mamas is your place.”
There are five locations in the Dallas area all serving up the fried chicken, meatloaf, or breaded catfish. And who can forget the red beans, fried okra, or blackeyed peas. The Dallas Observer named Mama's the best homecooking in the entire city so be sure to check it out while down there for Power Bowl VIII.
