Looking Forward to Indy
1/24/11 Kansas City, MO - It's been announced that Power Bowl IX will be hosted by the city of Indianapolis.
This will be the first time that Indianapolis has been selected to host the Power Bowl. It was one of the four finalists for Power Bowl IV, which eventually went to Washington D.C. where the Lions won their first ever Power Bowl. A big reason why Indianapolis may not have won the hosting bid for the 2006 game was due to the fact that the old stadium in town (RCA Dome) was considered antiquated. But now with the Colts' new state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Stadium, the dream has become a reality.
