The Gambler Headlines Power Bowl VIII

Kenny Rogers, known to some as the Gambler, will be playing the halftime show in Arlington for Power Bowl VIII

1/24/11 Kansas City, MO - Last year's halftime show was a laid back tropical paradise of a show as Jimmy Buffett entertained the thousands on hand in Miami and millions across the globe. This year in Arlington will be famous Texas son Kenny Rogers, made famous by his songs "Lady", "Coward of the County", and perhaps his greatest "The Gambler".

Rogers was chosen for his ties to Texas (he was born in Houston) and the country music that the state is known for. In 1986 he was voted favorite singer of all time in a poll conducted by both USA Today and People magazine.
